Era Psychotherapy

Claudia Rivera

MA, Mental Health Counselor

I’m a mental health counselor in the Boston area who works with women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, and relationship or family challenges.

Experience

My approach to therapy is rooted in warmth, collaboration, and meeting clients where they are. I believe that each person is the expert of their own experience, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, build insight, and move toward meaningful change at their own pace.

I use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to therapy and incorporate strength-based work into my practice. I have experience supporting clients through periods of uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, identity exploration, family dynamics, domestic violence, and major life transitions.

I value creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. My goal is for clients to feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

Areas of Interest and Continued Growth

As I continue developing my clinical work, I am expanding my training in perinatal mental health and look forward to supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.

As a pre-licensed clinician, I receive ongoing supervision and consultation to support my clinical growth and client care.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy baking, trying new fitness classes, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Taking the First Step

Beginning Therapy

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Many clients reach out after spending months wondering whether they should seek support.
