Careers for Clinicians

Thoughtful clinical work, in a practice designed to support it.

Era Psychotherapy is a small, specialized group practice focused on reproductive and perinatal mental health. We care deeply about the work we do — and the clinicians who make it possible.

Why It Matters

Built for clinicians who want to sustain meaningful work

Many therapists are drawn to this field because they want to do meaningful work — but too often, group practice models make that work difficult to sustain. High caseload expectations, administrative burden, and limited clinical support can lead to burnout.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they are supported, respected, and able to focus on therapy itself. Our goal is to build a practice where therapists can provide thoughtful, effective care without sacrificing their own well-being.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Accessibility Matters

We believe that therapy should be accessible to the people who need it. For that reason, we accept insurance. Mental health care can be difficult to access for many women trying to juggle work, caregiving, pregnancy, and early parenthood. Accepting insurance allows more clients to receive specialized care during some of the most important and vulnerable transitions in life.

Supporting the Clinicians Who Provide Care

We believe that mentally and emotionally healthy clinicians provide better therapy. Our practice includes four weeks of vacation in addition to sick time and public holidays. We encourage clinicians to use this time fully. Rest and time away from clinical work are not luxuries — they are essential to sustaining thoughtful, effective care over time.

Thoughtful Flexibility

Our clients are often navigating complex schedules involving appointments, childcare, work, and recovery after birth. Because of this, we encourage clinicians to exercise discretion with cancellations and scheduling challenges. We maintain a cancellation policy, but it is not intended to be punitive — we aim to balance clear expectations with compassion and clinical judgment.

Care Designed for the Realities of Motherhood

Virtual therapy allows clients to receive care in ways that would otherwise be difficult or impossible — during nap windows, between (or during!) feedings, or without the logistical burden of childcare and travel. For many mothers, this flexibility is what makes therapy accessible. We believe virtual care plays a critical role in making specialized support available during these seasons of life.

How We Work

Our Practice Model

Era Psychotherapy is intentionally structured to support both clinicians and clients. Because the practice operates remotely and efficiently, we are able to offer a compensation model that is generous and competitive.

We also recognize that meaningful clinical work looks different for different people. Not every therapist wants or needs the same caseload. No clinician is pressured to maintain an unsustainable schedule.

We also value consultation and professional thoughtfulness. As a small practice, we aim to cultivate a collegial environment where clinicians can continue developing their expertise and supporting one another's work.

Generous Compensation

Competitive reimbursement rates, made possible by our remote and efficient model.

4 Weeks Vacation

Plus sick time and public holidays. We actively encourage clinicians to take the time they need.

Sustainable Caseloads

No pressure to maintain unsustainable volume. Caseload growth is a choice, not a requirement.

Collegial Consultation

A small, thoughtful team culture where clinicians can develop expertise and support one another's work.

Fully Remote

All care provided via teletherapy. Work from wherever is best for you and your clients.
