Experience
I'm Caitlin Vinter, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker specializing in women's mental health. I primarily work with women in the perinatal period, and it's an area I'm passionate about both professionally and personally. I deeply understand all that can shift during pregnancy and the postpartum months — in your sense of self, your relationships, your body, and your place in the world. The transition to motherhood is rarely what we're told it will be, and the gap between expectation and reality can be disorienting, isolating, and at times overwhelming. I work with women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD, and the broader emotional and relational shifts that accompany this time of life.
Beyond the perinatal space, I also support women navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and occupational stress, as well as people struggling with insomnia through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). I work from an integrative framework drawing on CBT, ACT, EMDR, and IPT, and I'm a certified perinatal mental health clinician (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International.
I prioritize helping my clients gain real insights into their patterns and experiences, while also providing concrete, effective tools they can use in their everyday lives. Above all, I believe that feeling truly seen by your therapist is what makes the work possible. That's what I show up to do.
I'm licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maryland.
