Teletherapy
Era Psychotherapy is fully remote. We offer teletherapy to clients located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and Maryland via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
How it works
Teletherapy is much like in-person therapy, with a few differences. You'll need a quiet, private space since we won't be in the same room. Occasional technical issues can happen; we work through them together. Some concerns are better addressed in person—we can discuss whether teletherapy is a good fit for you during the consultation.
Where can I be for sessions?
You must be physically in a state where our clinicians are licensed: MA, CT, RI, NY, and MD. If you travel out of state, we reschedule until you're back. As long as you're in one of those states, you can meet from any private, quiet location.
What platform do you use?
We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform through our electronic health records system. You'll receive a unique link before each session. All paperwork can be completed electronically through the client portal—no printing or scanning required.
How should I prepare?
Treat it like an in-person session: find a private, quiet space free of distractions. Ensure others won't be in the same room. Silence your phone and notifications, and have what you need (water, tissues) nearby so we can make the most of our time together.
